Rescue of SAP module implementation
What?
To rescue client’s implementation of customized version of SAP’s Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) module, Oakman Consulting led a 25 member team of employee and contract developers, business subject matter experts, business analysts and testers to integrate EH&S with client’s legacy systems, implement 100+ reports and 30 custom interfaces, forms, and other enhancements.
Notable challenges overcome:
- Budget, timeline constraints – SAP’s implementation guidelines suggested a 6 month schedule for the implementation. Due to budget constraints, only funding for 3 months was available. To deliver in compressed timeframe, Oakman Consulting teamed with client to re-negotiate scope and condense the schedule to enable pilot implementation prioritizing the most essential components.
