What?
The automaker had a critical need to upgrade its data center hardware and software to more robust versions that were vendor-supported. With a track-record of program delivery at the data center, as well as strong capabilities in program management, Oakman was selected for the job.
Results:
Major down-sizing at the data center and off-shoring of technical resources mid-project realigned resources and introduced uncertainty to roles, accountabilities, and work priorities throughout that organization. By partnering with the automaker, and resetting expectations, Oakman met project obligations with an improvised team, and was commended by automaker for performance.
